Culinary Collaboration at WMS For Local Senior Citizens Brings Students Into the Kitchen

The Woodbury Middle School Culinary Department’s Fall Harvest Luncheon for local senior citizens was a huge success today.

Senior citizens from Bethlehem and Woodbury were invited to a sit-down meal in the WMS Culinary Room that was prepared and served by students from both the middle and high school culinary classes. This collaboration for a sit-down meal was the first of its kind at WMS and another terrific learning and mentoring opportunity for students in Mike Hadoulis’ and John Dominello’s culinary classes.

Attendees enjoyed Butternut Squash Soup with Diced Apples and Creme Fraiche, Stuffed Peppers Parmesan Crisp and Chiffonade of Basil, and a Pumpkin Rice Pudding with Maple Whipped Cream. Students from both schools worked together seamlessly in the kitchen to execute this wonderful luncheon.
