New Agriscience Club at NHS Is An Option for WMS Students

Last week, 38 Woodbury Middle School students visited Nonnewaug High School to participate in the first-ever Middle School Agriscience Club session, hosted by NHS Agriscience students and staff. During the visit, students took part in activities connected to the Natural Resource Management pathway.

They learned about regional invasive species and overpopulation, and also explored hands-on projects such as making beeswax lip balm and maple syrup. Students also discussed agriscience program expectations, including Supervised Agricultural Experiences (SAE) and the Future Farmers of America (FFA). This truly student-run program showcased the leadership of the NHS agriscience students, who did a wonderful job welcoming and engaging their middle school peers.

The new WMS afterschool Agriscience Club will return to NHS for another session on April 1 focused on Animal Science pathways.
