WMS Tech Ed Students Create Mini Propulsion Engines
Using a handful of popsicle sticks, paper clips, rubber bands, a plastic propeller, and some wheels of varying sizes, students in Will Michael’s Tech Ed class at Woodbury Middle School created cars with mini propulsion engines to measure how far and fast they would travel. They wound up the propeller and let it go.
It was a terrific exercise of adapt and adjust as students went back to the lab to modify their cars after some first run crashes.
